A Ventura County native, Gabriel has been training at the IMAA since 2011. Hisardut and Krav Maga practice has changed his life undoubtedly. It has affected for the better his perspectives on values, physical and mental health, work ethic, as well as familial and interpersonal relationships.

Having had early experience in the grappling arts on the high school wrestling team, Gabi was drawn immediately to the judo and Ju-Jitsu components of IMAA. Only through experience can one truly appreciate and understand the subtle nuance behind these internal practices. This is what Gabi strives to show to his pupils through instruction; the beauty of physics and mechanics, and the limitless capabilities of the human body. Combined with the external aspects of karate, Hisardut and Krav Maga as a triune art becomes the ultimate in self-defense.

For Gabi, his sons are a large part of his inspiration to teach martial arts. He sees the confidence that Hezi Sheli (Gabi's instructor) has been able to instill both his children and also in himself. Gabriel wants to be able to do the same for others, both young and old alike.

Raised in Camarillo California, Gabi holds a degree in Linguistics, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. After spending extended periods abroad in Asia, Gabriel now works in Los Angeles as a defense contractor. He still resides in Ventura County, with his wife and three children.
